I have an Italian, dual boiler espresso machine, and a Mazzer Mini Type A grinder with Super Jolly burrs. I have bought Full Cycle for over a year and been quite pleased. I periodically change up with other custom roasters yet always enjoy Nossa Familia. I decided to try something different and ordered 5 lbs of Augusta's. I like a rounded flavor profile with low aciditity (think Colombian medium roasts). I thought Peru would work and it does - spendidly. When first opening the bag, the aroma of Augusta's is delicious. After dialing in the grind, I am extracting at 94 C degrees, with a ratio of 1:3 at about 38 seconds. The result is smooth and sweet with sufficient body. Great flavor. There is no best method to brew coffee. I make exclusively espresso because it is the only method where you can modify the flavor profile while you are pulling the shot (time, pressure and flow). The different subtle variations/nuances with Augusta's have been so pleasing. It is now my favorite.
Thank you Nossa Familia.
