Bayardo’s top priority with his coffee farm has always been to help his fellow countrymen and improve the lives of the workers on his farm. When he first bought the land, it did not have any buildings. Over time, he has put up housing for the workers, imported solar panels and a wind turbine to provide some electricity, improved the toilets and sanitation, and provided funding for a teacher for farmworkers and their children.

Best coffee for me :)

I have been a loyal customer of Nicaragua from Nossa for many many years - it's the best one i have found - a nicely balanced roast on all counts (acidity, flavor, body, etc.). The natural process is better than washed, for me - just a bit more acidity that i like.
Interestingly - the best flavor profile i get is by using the stove mocha pot. I do not like it french pressed or espresso.

Excellent espresso

After buying lots of the always reliable Full Cycle over the years, I have been trying out various of the Nossa light roast microlot offerings, so far the Demeka Becha, the Fredy Gonzales, and this Nicaragua natural. All of them delivered really good expresso, very different, but all with everything I want from espresso: lots going on, well balanced, not excessively acidic, good sweetness, and no grassiness or astringency. Hard to pick a favorite, but if forced to choose among then it would probably be this delicious Nicaragua. For best results, leave to rest for a week to 10 days after the roast. date.

Astringent after taste

Really had high hopes for this coffee based on other reviews and ordered a 2lb bag. Zero berry notes and no milk chocolate- maybe some bitter dark chocolate but there is a lingering astringency aftertaste as well. Tried multiple espresso recipes varying temps and flow profiles, but never got a decent shot on my ECM Classika with Eureka grinder. No joy with my drip coffee either. Even my wife says not a fan.
