EMPOWERING WOMEN IN COFFEE

For the 2024 holiday season, we're partnering with De la Gente to support women coffee farmers from the Union of Small-Scale Producers in Guatemala (UPC), who grow the organic certified coffees we roast. Our goal is to help UPC's women's group purchase a second mechanical de-pulping machine. This investment guarantees not only more consistent processing and improved quality control but also secures a brighter future for these farmers and their families, making a tangible difference in their lives.

Finca San Jose de las Nubes

Bayardo’s top priority with his coffee farm has always been to help his fellow countrymen and improve the lives of the workers on his farm. When he first bought the land, it did not have any buildings. Over time, he has put up housing for the workers, imported solar panels and a wind turbine to provide some electricity, improved the toilets and sanitation, and provided funding for a teacher for farmworkers and their children.
